ITLS course combines classroom learning, hands-on skills stations, and assessment stations that put learning to work in simulated trauma scenarios. Each ITLS course includes an evidence-based course manual with in-depth content written and edited by trauma care experts based on current re-search. ITLS courses are designed, managed and delivered by course directors, coordinators and instructors experienced in EMS, pre-hospital care and the ITLS approach.

Emergency Medical Patients: Assessment, Care and Transport (EMPACT) is a sixteen hour training program offering a practical student-driven approach to medical emergencies. The course format utilizes group discussion (small and large), case studies, and Socratic method to help both new and veteran practitioners alike better understand and refine the differential diagnosis of the medical patient.
The EMPACT course directs participants to effectively use and rely on both critical thinking and decision making skills to effectively treat medical emergencies. EMPACT focuses on clinical assessment, differential diagnosis identification and the treatment of medical patients. Topics covered within the EMPACT curriculum include case-based scenarios focused on: Medical Patient Assessment, Airway Management, Shock, Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies, Altered Mental Status just to name a few.
