ITLS Pediatric is a building course for those who have completed and passed an ITLS provider course. This course is designed to build your knowledge working with Pediatric trauma patients.

ITLS Pediatric focuses on the special needs of young trauma patients. In 8 hours of CE, you will learn the principles of proper assessment, management, critical interventions, patient packaging, and rapid transport.

This course includes online study and a live classroom session. The online portion is to be completed prior to attending the live session. The 12 lead ECG course assumes an understanding of basic ECG rhythm interpretation and will cover the 6 step method of 12 lead interpretation. The course will provide you with 1 hour of online content with the classroom session offering three hours of review. The live portion of this course will be offered from 1pm - 4pm on July 30th, 2019.

This Paramedic Refresher course is an interactive, blended-learning course that provides the required 48 hours of continuing education for NREMT recertification. This refresher course thoroughly addresses the objectives in the National EMS Education Standards and was designed to meet the specific requirements of the NREMT refresher option for the Paramedic applicant. To be able to count this refresher forfull NREMT credit you MUST attend all 6 sessions for a total of 52 hours in the classroom. If you attend all 6 sessions and complete the online requirements at the end of this course you be certified in ACLS, PALS, EMPACT, ITLS, and Pediatric ITLS, and will have completed all NREMT psychomotor requirements for recertification. Each student must have the items below completed before class and that class text book when required:

  • • August 6, 2019: ACLS 8-3 pm, Operations lecture 3pm-5pm - Must have ACLS pre-test completed and turned in at the start of class. The study guide will give you directions to take the pre-test.

ITLS course combines classroom learning, hands-on skills stations, and assessment stations that put learning to work in simulated trauma scenarios. Each ITLS course includes an evidence-based course manual with in-depth content written and edited by trauma care experts based on current re-search. ITLS courses are designed, managed and delivered by course directors, coordinators and instructors experienced in EMS, pre-hospital care and the ITLS approach.

CalendarIconEMPACT Provider Course

Emergency Medical Patients: Assessment, Care and Transport (EMPACT)is a sixteen hour training program offering a practical student-driven approach to medical emergencies. The course format utilizes group discussion (small and large), case studies, and Socratic method to help both new and veteran practitioners alike better understand and refine the differential diagnosis of the medical patient.

The EMPACT course directs participants to effectively use and rely on both critical thinking and decision making skills to effectively treat medical emergencies. EMPACT focuses on clinical assessment, differential diagnosis identification and the treatment of medical patients. Topics covered within the EMPACT curriculum include case-based scenarios focused on: Medical Patient Assessment, Airway Management, Shock, Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies, Altered Mental Status just to name a few.

Learn the full range of airway management techniques — including use of video laryngoscopes & other advanced imaging devices, extraglottic devices, drug-assisted intubation and cricothyrotomy. The online portion is to be completed prior to attending the live session and will cover the subjects of splinting, wound care, and hemorrhage control. It will provide you with 1.5 hours of content. The live skills check off will be offered at multiple times and will give you 2 hours of content. Each live session will allow time for you to get checked off on traction splinting, long bone injury, joint immobilization, and bleeding control/shock management for recertification. You will receive an email with information on how to access the online content within 72 hours of your registration. Please bring your certificate of completion for the online portion to the skills check off.

This refresher course addresses the objectives in the National EMS Education Standards and was designed to meet the specific requirements of the NREMT refresher option for the EMT applicant.
To be able to count this refresher for full NREMT credit you MUST attend all 4 sessions for a total of 32 hours in the classroom. If you attend all 4 sessions and complete the online requirements at the end of this course you will have completed all didactic NREMT requirements (34 hours) and be certified in EMPACT, AHA-BLS and ITLS.
Each student must have the items below completed before class and that class textbook when required:
