Obstetrics Delivery Blended Course February 8th and 11th

This course includes a live, two-hour session where participants will be able to learn about and practice basic deliveries. Participants will be required to complete online learning before attending the course. While this course is geared for the prehospital patient, any medical professional is welcome and may benefit from learning about basic birthing techniques. EMS professionals may use this to accumulate recertification hours

Splint and Wound Care Blended Course February 8th and 11th

This course includes a live, two-hour session where participants will be able to learn about and apply various splints including long bone traction and SAM® Splints. We will also cover tourniquet use and wound packing. Participants will be required to complete online learning before attending the course. While this course is geared for the prehospital patient, any medical professional is welcome and may benefit from learning about initial splint use. EMS professionals may use this to accumulate recertification hours.

The Difficult Airway Course: EMS - Date February 22nd and 23rd

THE DEFINITIVE EMS AIRWAY COURSE

Learn the full range of airway management techniques — including use of video laryngoscopes & other advanced imaging devices, extraglottic devices, drug-assisted intubation and cricothyrotomy. Work with expert faculty who know the unique challenges facing EMS providers. Use proven airway devices in small group sessions. Practice decision-making and airway techniques in Code AirwayTM simulations. Face the most challenging patient scenarios in a no-risk environment. These include: elevated ICP, pulmonary edema, cardiogenic shock, status asthmaticus foreign body in the airway, direct airway trauma, multiple trauma with shock, and many more.

EMPACT Provider Course- March 9th, 10th

This is a virtual course. Emergency Medical Patients: Assessment, Care and Transport (EMPACT)is a sixteen hour training program offering a practical student-driven approach to medical emergencies. The course format utilizes group discussion (small and large), case studies, and Socratic method to help both new and veteran practitioners alike better understand and refine the differential diagnosis of the medical patient.

The EMPACT course directs participants to effectively use and rely on both critical thinking and decision making skills to effectively treat medical emergencies. EMPACT focuses on clinical assessment, differential diagnosis identification and the treatment of medical patients. Topics covered within the EMPACT curriculum include case-based scenarios focused on: Medical Patient Assessment, Airway Management, Shock, Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies, Altered Mental Status just to name a few.

ITLS - March 30,31

ITLS course combines classroom learning, hands-on skills stations, and assessment stations that put learning to work in simulated trauma scenarios. Each ITLS course includes an evidence-based course manual with in-depth content written and edited by trauma care experts based on current re-search. ITLS courses are designed, managed and delivered by course directors, coordinators and instructors experienced in EMS, pre-hospital care and the ITLS approach.
